Our very own Home made Bao Buns (pronounced “bow”), but also known as a ‘steamed buns’ are a delicious, warm, fluffy treat of stuffing wrapped inside a sweet, white dough. Made with a mix of flour, yeast, sugar, baking powder, milk and oil, the bao is a tad sweeter than its closely related cousin, the dumpling. It is a type of filled bun or bread-like dumpling that originates from Chinese cuisines.

Chow Bao is such a cool way to introduce Asian foods and flavors to Canadians. First the price is definitely worth the size of the baos, especially when you get it with a side! You can tell that the chef has experience because the ingredients really compliment each other, it's fresh, and they have a great variety of flavors.

In my top 3 of best things ive tried this year. I knew this place would be good and wasn't disappointed. Had a few Big Bao's, and crab rangoon. I didnt even look at what each Bao had on it and ordered what sounded good: the Bahn Mi and Pop Ckn. This food is darn good! The bahn mi had crispy pork belly and was full of flavor

They are amazing!! The gentleman behind the counter helped us with our selection and was super friendly!! The sitting area is small and cute!! We loved our meals, I had the pork belly Bao and my boyfriend had the Pulled pork Bao, with crab Rangoon and spring rolls. Wow!! Just wow!! I will be back, I will be bringing friends!!
